If you have ever given a speech, you've probably had those butterfly moments before or during your speech. Even the greatest orators of all time like the former US President Barack Obama have had to be coached at some point to get the right tone, posture, perfect speech delivery, captivate and even capture their audiences. That is part of what Toastmasters International does.
The Awareness meeting was aimed at helping our members understand everything Toastmasters and how to go about forming a club for #TeamPR. Toastmasters allows you to engage with people who share similar interests to you in a supportive & comfortable setting and, helps you improve and build communication skills that will help in your career trajectory.
Some of the benefits of becoming a Toastmaster are:
1. Improve public speaking and build leadership skills
2. Gain self confidence and self awareness
3. Practice writing speeches and presenting them to your club members, where you get constructive feedback that will help you improve if need be.
4. Access the Pathway learning experience, an education program that allows you to leverage over 300 practical workplace skills including interview preps, online meeting management, leadership development, project management and conflict resolution.
We will have a demo meeting on 11th December 2019 from 5.30pm-7.30pm at a venue to be communicated in due course. Please purpose to attend this meeting if you missed this initial meeting.
Great weekend ahead #TeamPR
